Climate Change in Africa
As a communications consultant with the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP), funded by Global Affairs Canada -my work focused on translating complex economic research into compelling, accessible narratives—particularly in the area of climate change, where the intersection between environmental shocks and economic vulnerability is most acute. Across Africa, climate change is already reshaping livelihoods, food security, and economic stability, disproportionately impacting communities that have contributed least to global emissions. Through strategic storytelling, knowledge products, and digital content, I helped ensure that research findings reach policymakers, practitioners, and wider audiences in ways that drive informed, evidence-based action.
One of my key deliverables was the production of a video exploring the economic impacts of climate change in Africa, designed to communicate research insights to a broad audience in a clear and engaging format. The video highlights how climate-related shocks—such as droughts, floods, and rising temperatures—translate into tangible economic consequences, affecting productivity, livelihoods, and growth trajectories across the continent. By combining data-driven analysis with human-centered storytelling, the piece underscores the urgency of climate-responsive economic policies and amplifies the voices of researchers working on the ground. This work reflects my broader approach: using multimedia and strategic communication to make complex development challenges both understandable and actionable.
