Media Producer/ Director

Across a diverse body of work, I bring a distinctive directorial voice rooted in curiosity, and human connection. From the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador, where I lived alongside a shaman to capture an intimate National Geographic documentary, to post-conflict communities in Northern Uganda, where I documented the transformative power of sport, my approach is immersive and deeply respectful of the worlds I portray. Whether crafting award-winning documentaries or cinematic short films showcased on international platforms such as Cannes, I focus on translating complex human stories into compelling visual narratives that resonate emotionally and intellectually with global audiences.

As a producer, I combine creative vision with strategic execution, leading projects from concept to completion across a wide range of formats, including United Nations productions, regional television series, and globally recognized children’s programming like Sesame Street Egypt.

Short Film

I wrote and directed a short film shot in Canada, which was showcased at the Cannes Short Film Corner, an international industry platform that brings together filmmakers and professionals to present and promote emerging work.

Sesame Street

I worked as a producer on Sesame Street Egypt (Alam SimSim), contributing to a flagship educational programme that combines entertainment with early childhood development across the region. In this role, I supported the development and production of engaging, culturally relevant content designed to promote learning, inclusivity, and social values among young audiences, while maintaining the creativity and warmth that define the Sesame Street brand.

National Geographic

I directed a short documentary for National Geographic filmed in the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador, exploring the life and practices of a local shaman who draws on the healing power of nature. Living alongside the Shaman for a week, the film tells an authentic, respectful story that captures both the spiritual and ecological dimensions of his work. The project required navigating remote and challenging environments, building trust with local communities, and translating complex cultural practices into a compelling cinematic experience.

United Nations

I produced and directed this United Nations video focused on promoting entrepreneurship skills in schools, leading the project from concept to completion. In this role, I shaped the overall narrative and creative direction to ensure the video effectively communicated the importance of fostering innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking among young people. I coordinated closely with stakeholders, managed the production process in alignment with the UN’s educational and development objectives.

Drama Series

II was a producer and second unit director on a youth drama series for MBC set within the diverse environment of a university, following a group of Egyptian and Arab students from different cultural backgrounds. The series explores both the academic journey and the personal lives of the students as they navigate identity, relationships, and cultural differences.

Documentary

I directed an award-winning short documentary filmed in Northern Uganda, where I spent a month embedded within a post-conflict community. The project explores the powerful role of soccer in rebuilding war-torn societies, highlighting how sport can engage youth in peacebuilding, foster resilience, and create pathways for social cohesion. It was recognized with the Best Documentary Award in the Children and Family category at the Al Jazeera Documentary Competition, underscoring its impact and relevance.
